Grace Frederick’s passion for design started at an early age, learning to appreciate the impact of color, pattern and detail from her mother, also a designer. Her childhood was in many ways a design tutorial—spent in antique stores, flea markets, and rows of fabric bolts. As a child, she remembers loving the smell of wallpaper books and flipping through her mother's old Architectual Digest.

A graduate of the Fine Arts program at Auburn University, Grace worked as a design consultant at one of Charleston's top home stores. There she had the opportunity to work with and learn from other talented local designers. In 2016, Grace started her own design business and has since worked on projects throughout the Lowcountry and beyond.

Grace draws inspiration from her clients and their homes, integrating a unique mix of traditional styles with bold, new elements to create a layered look. A lover of the neo-traditonal style, Grace has evolved her own aesthetic into a timeless take on the works of those who inspire her:  Billy Baldwin, Albert Hadley, Dorothy Draper, and Slim Aarons. She focuses on creating functional and beautiful spaces that capture the essence of each client.

Grace lives on Johns Island, SC with her husband Will and their three dogs; Fischer, Marlin, and Yellow Dog. They are currently having fun building their dream home on the Church Creek.
